About FireSearch
FireSearch is a modern search engine interface that combines AI-generated answers with results from multiple sources and provides powerful "bang" shortcuts for direct searches on specific websites.
How FireSearch Works
FireSearch uses multiple technologies to provide you with relevant information:
- AI-Generated Answers - Uses AI to directly answer your questions
- Multiple Sources - Combines results from Wikipedia, YouTube, GitHub, Reddit, Steam and more
- Direct Search Links - Provides links to major search engines for comprehensive results
- Bang Shortcuts - Offers customizable shortcuts for searching specific sites
Search Sources
FireSearch aggregates results from multiple popular platforms:
- Wikipedia - For encyclopedic knowledge and factual information
- YouTube - For video content related to your search
- GitHub - For code repositories and development resources
- Reddit - For community discussions and user experiences
- Steam - For gaming-related searches
AI-Powered Search
FireSearch uses AI to generate direct answers to your questions. These answers appear at the top of your search results in a highlighted box. While AI can provide helpful information quickly, please note:
- AI-generated answers may not always be accurate or up-to-date
- It's always good to verify information with other sources
- For complex or nuanced topics, traditional search results may be more reliable
What are Bangs?
Bangs are special shortcuts that let you search directly on other websites. For example:
- !g cats - Search for "cats" on Google
- !w quantum physics - Search for "quantum physics" on Wikipedia
- !yt how to code - Search for "how to code" on YouTube
Customizing Bangs
One of the unique features of FireSearch is that you can create and customize your own bangs. Visit the Settings page to:
- Add new bangs for your favorite websites
- Edit existing bangs
- Remove bangs you don't use
How to Use
- Type your search query in the search box
- For regular searches, just press Enter
- To use a bang, start your query with the bang shortcut (e.g., !w)
- Browse results from multiple sources organized by platform
- For comprehensive web results, use the search engine buttons provided with each search
